I need to find this story?!?

This is an Edgar Allan Poe story, there is a lady and she is found dead in a room that is 12 feet by 8 feet and the window was broken and the matress was overturned so obviously there was struggle, in when the police investigated, there were marks of strangulation on her neck but when police investigated more throughly the marks were spaced too far apart for them to be from a human, and there were gray hairs found in her hand. Does anyone know this story it's by edgar allan poe?
