Yahoo Group Emails Make Them Stop?

I have recently canceled my membership in 2 groups. I am still getting emails from both groups flooding my inbox. I tried to sign in and change the setting but the moderator has removed me from the group so when I sign in I can't access these old accounts. I have tried to block emails from both groups and the moderator is not helping me other than saying contact yahoo and I am having no luck in that department. I would just wipe out my account however I am a member of other groups and I do not want to mess those accounts up. Any ideas? FYI I do not have another email address just the one I use for the account.
