How hard would it be to make Diamond Plate Door Panels?

I am either going to use Diamond Plate or just plain Aluminum Sheet Metal to make door panels for my 1979 Ford Bronco, and I am just wondering how hard it will be to make a trace using the original door panels and get the metal cut accurately enough to have it look good when it is installed.
