Black American fighter pilots of WWII?

Does anybody else find it disgusting that the black American fighter pilots of WWII recieved less priveliges than some of the Nazi POW's? These brave Americans were FINALLY reconized today, March 29, 2007. Can anyone today imagine risking your life for your country and being told to get to the back of the bus when you came home for leave? Those guys were incredible heroes.
