ault rifle gun deaths?

there is always a lot of hype regarding banning military style ault rifles from civilian use. I was wondering if anyone had any reliable statistical data or links to a website regarding this because i can't ever remember hearing anything about someone dieing from being shot by an ar15 style rifle. It's almost entirely handguns that are involved in violent crimes in the US. thanks
